Looking to get on the wheel and throw some clay? Our Pottery Wheel Time sessions are perfect for beginners or returning students who want hands-on experience at the wheel. In this guided class, you’ll learn the basics of wheel throwing, including centering, pulling, and shaping clay into forms like bowls or cups. An instructor will be available to provide step-by-step support and helpful tips as you work through the process. Each session includes clay, tools, and the firing of one finished piece, with glazing provided by our studio staff. Your pottery will be ready for pickup in about 2–3 weeks. Whether you're trying the wheel for the first time or looking to build your skills, this is a great way to explore the art of pottery in a fun, supportive environment.

Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in and get settled at your wheel before the class begins. Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting messy—clay can splatter—and avoid long sleeves or dangling jewelry. Aprons are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Long hair should be tied back, and short nails are helpful for working with clay. All materials and tools will be provided, and one piece per person will be trimmed, glazed, and fired by our studio staff. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup in approximately 2–3 weeks—we’ll contact you when they’re ready. If you have any special seating requests or are attending with a group, please let us know in advance.
